Brilio Concierge for Shopify¶
An AI sales assistant that answers your shoppers' questions on your storefront — from your own products, prices and policies — and hands the conversation to you when it can't help.
What it does¶
- Answers from your store, not the internet. Product questions are answered from your live catalogue: stock, price, variants, and a link to the product page. If a product isn't published, the assistant won't offer it.
- Answers policy questions once you've indexed your published policy pages (Settings → Read my policies).
- Shows the product. When a reply names a product, the shopper sees a card with its image and price, and can add it to their basket without leaving the chat.
- Hands over to you. A shopper can ask to speak to a person and leave an email address. The conversation is marked in your Conversations list so you can pick it up.
- Shows you what people ask. Every conversation is readable and searchable in the app.
Setting it up¶
- Install the app. Your concierge is provisioned automatically — there is nothing to configure before it works.
- Turn on the app embed. Dashboard → Open theme editor → App embeds → turn on Brilio Concierge. Until this is on, shoppers won't see the chat.
- Index your policies. Settings → Read my policies. This reads the policy pages you have published (refund, shipping, terms, privacy and so on) so the assistant can answer questions about them.
- Make it sound like you. Settings → assistant name, greeting, persona and the questions it opens with.
Password-protected storefronts
Policy indexing reads your published storefront. If your store is still password-protected — as new development stores are — there is nothing publicly readable yet, and indexing will tell you so rather than failing silently. Remove the password, then run it again.
What it costs¶
The concierge answers using AI, and each answer consumes credits from your Brilio balance. See Plans and credit pricing.
Your Dashboard shows how much of the current period you've used, and warns you before the assistant runs out — not after.
Privacy¶
Conversations are stored, and you can read them. That includes anything a shopper types, which in practice includes email addresses, because the assistant only looks up an order once the shopper has proved it is theirs.
You are the data controller for those conversations; Brilio is your processor. Two things follow from that, and both are worth doing today:
- Say in your own storefront privacy policy that a chat assistant is available and that conversations are stored.
- Know how to answer a customer who asks for their data, or asks you to erase it. See Responding to a customer data request.
The full detail of what is collected and how long it is kept is in the Brilio Privacy Policy §3.6.
Getting help¶
Email support@brilio.ai with your store domain and, if the question is about a specific conversation, the time it happened — that is enough for us to find it.
